The Vision

Background

After over 20 years of supporting wellness in our community in Grenada, through the Brooks-Smith Lowe Institute's medical practice and Spice Harmony Yoga Studio, it is time to expand the vision!

We are a family of yoga teachers with backgrounds spanning medicine, law, yoga therapy, agriculture, public health, cultural studies, birth work and visual arts.

Find out more about us here.

Across our fields and the various people we serve, we have seen a growing desire for a hub - a multi-functional space that supports public health, balanced productivity, connection and play for all ages.

Wild Seed Sanctuary is a direct response to this!

About

Wild Seed Sanctuary will be a place for individuals to flourish, families to gather and community to connect. A place where you feel both at home & transported.

We will create an intergenerational hub with programming to engage and support people across their lifecycle. Envision a rich variety of offerings like childbirth education, kids gardening classes, inspiring shared work & meeting spaces for entrepreneurs, workshops on both work & life topics, seniors chair yoga and more.

A place where community members, entrepreneurs and organizations attend and host social events, classes, meetings and retreats.

We will host trainings to certify yoga teachers and full spectrum doulas, increasing access to therapeutic yoga for all ages and birth & postpartum support island-wide.

What we are

- Food Forest Farm

- Coworking Space

- Event/Meeting Space

- Yoga + Wellness Studio

- Plant Based Cafe

- Kid's Nature Playscape

Location

Wild Seed Sanctuary's home is a 3.5 acre hillside in Woburn, St. George, Grenada. We are developing the property into farm and food forest - a diverse planting of edible plants that attempts to mimic the ecosystems and patterns found in nature. A key part of our vision for the land is to highlight the incredible array of nutritious, medicinal and utilitarian plants that grow on our island.

We are excited for the unique opportunity to embrace biophilic design from the ground up! Our sustainably and accesibly designed buildings will be nestled into an edible landscape reflecting a typical ‘yard’ in Grenada - fruit trees, herbs, medicinal plants and vegetables.

Advantages

- 15mins from the capital city, St.George's,

- 15 mins from Grand Anse, a tourism + commerce hub.

- Easily accessible via a main bus route.

- Rested Land (Ideal for Agricultural development)

- 9 acre extension farm already exists in St. Mark, Grenada
